These are playful experiments using paint as an object, and thinking about how that can interact with photography and performance. My practice has always been cyclical rather than linear, and one of the phases of that cycle is the sun. I’ve explored it as an indicator of time passing, as a tool that marks presence and absence, and now as a force that passes through, or is blocked. A force that transforms.
I love finding transcendent moments amidst ordinary backgrounds. While not denying the fact of their material, these are still able to become something new, through mere overlaps or perspective shifts. With just a shift in perspective.
